CHASE THE LEADER.

SKI
DISTRICT.

Race three riders through the pines. Hit ramps, grab boost lines and carve your way to first.

  1. Clean gates refill your boost.
  2. Release a charge to boost, or load a nearby ramp.
  3. Steer in the air to spin. Centre to land.

Super, super, SUPER inspired by Evan Milenko.

A / D: steer · S: brake / grab
Hold Space, release to act · P: pause

Find your racing line.

Cameras: use View to choose Top view, 3rd person or 1st person. Switching cancels unfinished input and keeps your current game. First person follows the player or shot position; the mouse still aims normally.

  1. Race to the line. Three visible computer riders steer, jump and use boost on the same course. The first finisher wins. Riders do not knock each other down.
  2. Pick a route. Follow the alternating gates to refill boost and build a clean-line streak, or move wide for a ramp or boost pickup. A missed gate slows you down.
  3. Spend your boost. Hold and release the primary action. Near a ramp it loads a bigger jump for two seconds; elsewhere it gives a burst of speed.
  4. Jump for speed. Ramps launch automatically. Steer in the air to rotate, hold GRAB, then release steering to straighten. Clean landings give boost; failed landings cost time recovering.
  5. Read the terrain. Brake before a sharp turn. Avoid rocks or clear them in the air. A near miss refills a little boost. There are no hidden time penalties: the race clock is the clock.
  6. Three courses. Longer courses tighten the gates and increase the pace. A personal best for each course is stored only on this device. This is an arcade race, not official slalom rules.

Controls. A / D or left/right arrows steer. S / down arrow holds BRAKE on the surface or GRAB in the air. Hold Space and release for the charged action. Mouse: point at your line, hold and release left click to act; centre the pointer to straighten in the air. Right click cancels. Touch: left thumb steers, right thumb holds and releases the action; the second button brakes or grabs. P pauses, ? opens help.

Take a breath.
